WhatsApp & Client Messages

WhatsApp, from your own number.

Connect your firm's WhatsApp Business number and keep using the app on your phone exactly as you do now. GrowOn sends the routine messages for you, from that same number, and only to clients whose consent you have recorded.

Keep your phone app

Your number, your phone, the way you use it today.

You connect the WhatsApp Business number your clients already know. Nothing moves to a new number, and you keep chatting from the app on your phone.

A few things on the phone do change, and you should know them before you connect. Linked devices such as WhatsApp on your computer need to be linked again once. Broadcast lists become read-only, and GrowOn does not send broadcasts either. Your groups are not touched. Your old chats stay on the phone and are not imported into GrowOn.

  • The same number your clients already have saved
  • Groups untouched; old chats are not imported
  • Linked devices relink once; broadcast lists go read-only, with no new sends
  • Messages you send from the phone on that number are recorded in GrowOn

Messages that send themselves

The routine messages go out on the right day.

Turn on the messages you want and GrowOn sends them from your number, to clients with consent on file. Each one is tied to something already in your book: a date of birth, a first investment, a policy renewal date, a planned review meeting, an onboarding step, a servicing colour.

Each automation has its own switch, so you can start with birthdays and add the rest when you are ready.

  • Birthday wishes on the day
  • An anniversary note a year after a client's first investment
  • A reminder before a life or health policy renews
  • A reminder before a planned review meeting
  • A nudge when onboarding stalls, and when a client's servicing turns red

Templates approved by Meta

Every message is wording Meta has already approved.

WhatsApp only lets a business start a conversation with a template that Meta has reviewed. GrowOn shows you the wording of each template and whether Meta has approved it. Until it has, that message is not sent.

The client's name and your firm's name are filled in for each message, so the wish reads as yours, not a form letter.

  • Each template approved by Meta before it can go out
  • Your firm's name on every message
  • The client's name filled in for each one

Consent and STOP

Only clients who said yes. Never after they say stop.

Consent is recorded for each client, for each channel and for each purpose, and GrowOn asks you to write down how you know. A client without consent on file for WhatsApp gets no automated message.

If a client replies STOP, the messages stop. The opt-out is kept on the client's record, so you can always show what was agreed and when it changed.

  • Consent per client, per channel, per purpose
  • A “How do you know?” field, so consent is written down properly
  • A STOP reply ends the messages, and the opt-out stays on the record
  • Your groups are never messaged

Reminders to your team

Overdue work reaches the person who owns it.

When a task goes overdue, GrowOn can remind the person responsible on WhatsApp, so it does not wait for them to open the task list.

These reminders go to your staff only. They are never sent to a client.

  • Overdue-task reminders to the person responsible
  • Staff only, never clients

To Priya · staff only

Priya, two of your tasks are overdue: Bank Change follow-up for Rajesh Sharma, and the nominee form for the Deshpande family.

Sent to the person responsible. Never to a client.

The ten message checks

The right words, with the disclosures already in.

When you write to a client from GrowOn, pick why you are writing and the message comes with your ARN, EUIN and risk disclaimer in place. Edit it, copy it or open it in WhatsApp, and mark it as sent.

Every client message is checked against ten rules: your ARN and EUIN quoted and current, the certification behind them valid, the market-risk disclaimer present, the client's consent on file with no withdrawal in force, and a grievance contact reachable. The words, the result and the time are kept on the client's record.

  • Ten checks on every client message
  • Advisory by default: the result is recorded and shown to you
  • Your firm can switch it to blocking, and first sees how many messages it would have stopped
  • The message, the result and the time kept on the client's record

What this replaces

  • A birthday list on a calendar
  • Typing the same reminder from scratch every time
  • Checking the ARN and disclaimer by eye before every send
  • A consent list kept in a separate file
  • Chasing a colleague about an overdue task
