Your team knows what to do. You know what got done.
One shared queue for everything the firm owes, routines that put the work on the right list by themselves, and per-person completion for every day.
The queue
One shared queue, and four ways into it.
Every job the firm owes sits in one place, called Tasks, with four views: my tasks, the team's, unassigned and overdue. Anyone can pick up a job from the unassigned pile, so shared work does not sit waiting for somebody to be told.
Seven statuses keep the queue honest: Open, In progress, Waiting, Blocked, Missed, Done, Cancelled. Waiting and Missed matter most, because a list that can only say open or done always hides why nothing moved.
- My tasks, team, unassigned and overdue
- Every change and comment kept in order, with who did it and when
- Sub-tasks, one level down, for a job with parts
- Anyone can claim from the unassigned pile
Tasks
Regular Tasks
The day runs the same whether you are in or not.
Set a routine once — every morning, every evening, every week, every month, every few months, or on dates you choose — and the work appears on the right person's checklist by itself. Tick your list as you go, or go back a day and fix what was missed.
A new firm does not start with an empty page. Fifteen routines are there on day one, a morning list, an evening list, a weekly list and a monthly list, ready to edit.
- Six rhythms, including every few months and dates you choose
- Fifteen routines set up for a new firm
- A daily checklist per person, which can be back-dated
- Owners and admins edit the routines under Regular Tasks

Who is behind
See who finished yesterday's list, without asking.
A manager sees, person by person, how much of yesterday's list got done, and who is keeping their end-of-day habit. Nobody has to be chased for an update, and nobody has to write one. An owner can open any one person's day; everyone else sees their own.
Tell GrowOn which days your week runs, type the dates the office is closed, give a person their week off, or mark someone Away. A closed day is skipped, not counted as missed, so the completion numbers stay worth reading.
- Per-person completion and end-of-day streaks
- Your working week, and office holidays you type yourself
- A week off per person, and Away for days someone is out
- Closed days skipped, never counted as missed
This week
Thursday: office closed for Diwali. Skipped, not counted as missed.
Arun: Away, Wed to Fri.
Roles
Four roles, and what each one is allowed to see.
Every firm gets the same four roles: owner, admin, advisor and ops. There is nothing to design before you start.
Owners and operations staff always see the whole book. Advisors and admins can be limited to their own clients; that is your firm's choice. Operations staff never see net worth, income or commission, so a back-office person can chase a nominee form and close a request with the money kept off the screen.
- Owner, Admin, Advisor and Ops
- Owners and ops see the whole book
- Advisors and admins limited to their own clients, if you choose
- Every change carries the name of the person who made it
Roles
Instead of
What this replaces
- A shared to-do spreadsheet nobody updates
- A WhatsApp group used as a task list
- Sticky notes on a monitor
- Asking each person what they finished yesterday
- Remembering which days the office was shut
